Imlay delivers Armada a loss

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City registered a 57-23 score against visiting Armada in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball clash on Tuesday, February 1.

With the outcome, Imlay City raises its mark to 12-3 and 9-0.

In Tuesday’s clash, Imlay City bolted out to a 15-9 advantage after one quarter was done and widened the gap to 37-14 at the half.

Imlay City then outscored Armada 20-9 from that point on, good for a 57-23 win when the final buzzer sounded.

Ana Lengemann (16 points, including three trifectas) and Mary Lengemann (14, featuring a trey) led Imlay City that evening. They were backed by Lexa Forti (seven points, with a triple), Dakota Deel (six), Jaya Forti (five), Alyssa Evans (four), Olivia Livingston and Addison Cameron (two each) along with Lily Lengemann (one).
