IMLAY CITY — Ana Lengemann netted 20 points, including five trifectas, and Mary Lengemann managed 12, featuring a pair of treys, to lead host Imlay City to a convincing 53-21 win against Algonac in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball meeting last Thursday.

With the decision, Imlay City raises their mark to 8-2 and 5-0.

In Thursday’s meeting, Imlay City jumped out to a 19-4 advantage after one quarter was over with and widened the gap to 35-8 at halftime.

Imlay City then outscored Algonac 18-13 the rest of the way, finishing off a 53-21 win.

Lexa Forti (six, with a triple) supplied the next highest Imlay City point total. She was backed by Dakota Deel (five points), Lily Lengemann (four, including a trifecta), Jaya Forti (four) and Alyssa Evans (two).
