Imlay goes to 8-1 in the BWAC

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City registered a 25-23, 17-25, 10-25, 25-20, 15-11 triumph against host Richmond in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity volleyball meeting last Thursday night.

With the outcome, Imlay City goes to 8-1 in the BWAC.

Jaya Forti directed Imlay City’s offense from her position at setter. She finished with 29 assists.

Hope Schriber (10), Cassie Verellen (six), Natalie Stone (five) plus Lexa Forti and Jaya Forti (four each) supplied Imlay City’s highest kill totals.

Stone (21), Jaya Forti and Lexa Forti (20 apiece), Verellen (11), and Schriber (five) furnished Imlay City’s top dig outputs.

Schriber (four solos and six assists), Lexa Forti (two assists) and Jaya Forti (one assist) added Imlay City’s blocks.
