Angela A. “Angie” Hill

Angie Hill, a beloved wife, sister, artist, and friend, passed away on October 9, 2026, after a 4.5-year hard-fought and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lapeer, Michigan on August 31, 1965, Angie was the cherished daughter of Milton and Judith Hosler (Sawgle). Her early years were spent in the warmth of a large loving family, alongside her siblings and surrounded by the closeness and love of the small community of Dryden, Michigan.

Angie’s life was a testament to faith, love, and creativity. On August 3, 1985, she married her middle school sweetheart, Timothy B. Hill, at the Dryden United Methodist Church. Together, they built a life filled with love, faith and countless memories over their 41 years of marriage. Angie was a dedicated member of her community and church, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her faith in Christ was the guiding light of her life, reflected in her kindness and generosity to everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her husband, Tim; sisters, Sherrie (Darryl) Murray of Tipton, Michigan, Janet (Pete) Kreinath of Riverview, Florida, Brenda (Cheryl) Hosler of Tipton, Michigan, April (David) Copp of Metamora, Michigan, Diane Strozier of Milan, Michigan, and Autumn (Steve) Rives of Attica, Michigan; brothers, Anthony (Connie) Hosler of Brooklyn, Michigan, Andrew (Connie) Williams of Lapeer, Michigan, and Anthony (Amy) Campbell of Dryden, Michigan; and her stepmother, Chris Hosler of Dryden, Michigan. They will forever cherish her memory.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her mother-in-law, Carolyn Hill, and her extended family, including brothers-in-law, David (Tina) Hill, Scott (Connie) Hill, Mark (Diana) Hill, Lynn (Amy) Hill, and sister-in-law, Shelia Brown.

Angie was predeceased by her parents; her infant brother, Austin Allen; father-in-law, Glenn Hill; and brother-in-law, Michael Brown.

Angie was a graduate of Dryden High School, Class of 1983. She spent many years working at Vigoro in North Branch, Michigan, and later became the co-owner of The Haven Antiques and Gifts in Port Austin, Michigan, with her dear friend Helen Ranger.

Her artistic spirit was evident in everything she did; painting watercolors, stitching intricate crazy quilts, beading, creating a tranquil garden and decorating a home filled with warmth and love, from which she and Tim hosted countless holiday gatherings and family celebrations. She found joy in crafting beaded Christmas ornaments for her nieces and nephews and shared her handcrafted works of art with those she loved.

Her heart was as big as her talent, and her warmth was felt by many. Angie’s generosity knew no bounds; she baked hundreds of dozens of cookies for bake sales, friends, and coworkers, offering them as tokens of gratitude to those she considered blessings in her life. Her “smittens,” mittens crafted from repurposed wool garments, were just another example of Angie’s creativity and her belief in the beauty of transformation. Angie’s life was a beautiful mosaic of faith, love, and creativity. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.

No service is planned at this time. According to her wishes, she has been cremated and will be interred at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dryden, Michigan.

A celebration of life will be held in spring 2027. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Angie’s memory may direct it to the Dryden Methodist Church Ladies Hope Circle, P.O. Box 98, Dryden, MI 48428.
