Downtown IC to host 2nd annual Blueberry Festival

Fun-filled afternoon of activities planned

IMLAY CITY — The downtown area of Imlay City will be bustling Saturday, with the second annual Blueberry Festival set to take place.

Planning has been on-going for the past several months as organizers work to bring the best festival possible, along with other activities scheduled for the day.

Below is a schedule of events as presented by the Imlay City DDA,

1:50 p.m. kickoff with National Anthem
Dunk tank 2-8 p.m.
Glamour Paws Dog Adoption Event and Show – Registration is at 3 p.m. Event starts at 4:30 p.m.
Pie in the Face Booth 4-6 p.m,
Cornhole Tournament is set for 5 p.m.
Car Show 12-6 p.m.
Bounce House 2-7 p.m.
Cake Wars 12-3 p.m.
Ax Throwing 2-10 p.m. Mechanical Bull 2-6 p.m.
Tug of War 8-10 p.m.
Taco Eating Contest 3 p.m.
Kids Games 2-7 p.m.
Live Music 6-10 p.m.
Sidewalk sales downtown

There are other  events downtown that are not part of Blueberry Festival but are awesome events that local business are putting on at the same time to help add to the event. 

Summer Lovin' Market @ Heavenly Sweets Coffee 12-6 p.m.

JUNK 4 PUNKS @ Old World Tattoo from 1-9 p.m. 

In addition, the town's beloved Bette Kenward with WOW Rosies will be making an appearance to this year's Blueberry Festival. She says she can't wait to see everyone by the downtown museum!! Rosie the Riveter will be downtown from 1 -6 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Imlay City Rotary and BombBurgers. Proceeds will go to the Imlay City school district.
