IMLAY CITY — Students from Imlay City High School’s Vocational Independence Program (VIP) had the opportunity to explore the world of modern manufacturing during an interactive Manufacturing Day experience hosted by Conagra Brands at its Imlay City facility Oct. 13.

The three-hour event provided students with a firsthand look at the manufacturing industry while connecting classroom learning to real-world career opportunities. Through guided facility tours, hands-on activities, educational workshops, and conversations with industry professionals, students explored the technology, equipment, and processes that support modern manufacturing operations.

Throughout the experience, students gained valuable insight into workplace safety, quality control, production processes, and the variety of career pathways available within the manufacturing industry. The visit also highlighted the essential workplace skills employers value, including teamwork, communication, problem-solving and responsibility.

Imlay City Schools extends its appreciation to Conagra Brands for welcoming VIP students and providing an engaging, hands-on learning experience that helps connect education, career exploration and opportunities within our local community.
