More than 200 cars converge for Bump-N-Run, Demo Derby
IMLAY CITY — The Eastern Michigan State Fairgrounds roared to life on Saturday as more than 200 vehicles of all shapes and sizes converged for a high-octane day of Bump-N-Run and Demolition Derby action.
Under sunny skies, racers and spectators enjoyed near-perfect weather for the event. Before the engines revved, visitors were treated to pit-area access, getting an up-close look—and touch—at the customized, pre-race bodywork on display.
The turnout proved overwhelming as trucks towing derby entries lined up all the way out to South Almont Avenue to register. East of the main racetrack, the fairground’s grassy areas were overflowing with prepped vehicles, setting the stage for an action-packed competition for top honors.
