Leaf pickup to begin in Imlay City

IMLAY CITY — Fall leaf pickup in Imlay City begins Monday, Oct. 19, and will run through Tuesday, Nov. 24.

City officials said pickup will occur on Mondays for residents living north of the railroad tracks and on Tuesdays for those south of the tracks.

Residents are asked not to rake or place leaves into streets until as close to Oct. 19 as possible. In addition, catch basins should be kept clear of leaves and debris to prevent street flooding.

The city’s waste hauler will also collect leaves that are bagged or placed in designated yard waste containers on Tuesdays through Nov. 24.

Residents with questions may call city hall at 810-724-2135.
