Bruman to play volleyball at SVSU
IMLAY CITY — Makayla Bruman, a 2026 graduate of Imlay City High School, will continue her volleyball playing days with Saginaw Valley State University’s squad this fall.
IMLAY CITY — Makayla Bruman, a 2026 graduate of Imlay City High School, will continue her volleyball playing days with Saginaw Valley State University’s squad this fall.
During her senior season, Bruman provided Imlay City with 576 set assists and 269 kills.
The 5-11 setter/right side hitter also collected 264 digs, 79 ace serves and 32 blocks.
It was her fourth year on Imlay City’s varsity.
Bruman finished the year as an All-Blue Water Area Conference and Tri-City Times All-Area first team selection as well as a Division 2 All-State second team choice.
SVSU is scheduled to start their season Friday, August 28 when they compete at the Indy Invite.
The team squares off versus West Liberty University and Thomas More that day. Those matches list 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. starting times, respectively.Related Articles
