TRI-CITY AREA — From start to finish, the 2026 edition of the Tri-City Times All-Area boys’ track team proved a force with which to be reckoned.
Here is a look at who earned a spot in the lineup and the accomplishments they registered along the way:
Name: Jacob Biolchini
School: Almont
Year: Senior
Event: High jump
Best effort: Biolchini produced a clearance of 5 feet 4 inches twice this past season.
The first time he accomplished the performance was Tuesday, April 28 when he placed second.
He also cleared the height en route to a third at the Fourth Annual Cardinal Classic in Dryden on Friday, May 8.
Top finishes: Biolchini took third at the Fourth Annual Cardinal Classic in Dryden; obtained a sixth at the Armada-based Blue Water Area Conference League Meet; furnished a ninth at the Marlette Invite; registered a 15th at the Davison Twilight Classic; plus managed a 20th at the Lapeer County Press Meet in North Branch.
Name: Gabe Hibner
School: Almont
Year: Junior
Event: Pole vault
Best effort: Hibner cleared 12 feet three times during the 2026 campaign.
The first team it happened was when third at the Davison Twilight Classic on Friday, May, 1.
Four days later, Hibner cleared the height again en route to a second at the Armada-based Blue Water Area Conference League Meet.
He also cleared 12 feet on the way to a first Saturday, May 16 at a Division 3 regional meet.
Top finishes: Hibner took first at a Division 3 regional meet; provided seconds at the Marlette Invite and Fourth Annual Cardinal Classic in Dryden; generated a third at the Davison Twilight Classic; placed fourth at the Marysville-based Blue Water Meet of Champions; claimed a seventh at the Shake Off the Rust Invite in Davison; plus added a 17th at the Hudsonville-based Division 3 state finals.
Name: Jovani Pena
School: Imlay City
Year: Junior
Event: Long jump
Best effort: Pena leaped 19 feet 6 inches twice during the 2026 campaign.
The first time he accomplished that was Tuesday, May 5 when he placed first at the Armada-based Blue Water Area Conference League Meet.
Eleven days later, Pena equaled that distance when he wound up fourth at a Division 2 regional in North Branch.
Top finishes: He claimed a first at the Armada-based Blue Water Area Conference League Meet; supplied fourths at the Hatchet Invite in Bad Axe and at a North Branch-based Division 2 regional; generated a fifth at the Tri County Invite; contributed an eighth at the Bluewater Meet of Champs in Marysville; furnished a 19th at the 63rd Elmer Ball Oxford Invite; and was 22nd among Division 1/2 entries at the SVSU Indoor Invite; plus tacked on a 23rd at the Shake Off the Rust Invite in Davison.

Best effort: Cremeans threw 38 feet 4 1/4 inches en route to an 11th at a Division 2 regional in North Branch on Saturday, May 16.

Best effort: Wilson uncorked a toss measuring 116 feet 5 inches for first Friday, May 15 at a Dryden-based Division 4 regional.
Top finishes: He earned firsts at the Dryden-based Big Thumb Conference Red and Blue Division League Meet and a Division 4 regional; ranked 13th at the Marlette Invite; was 19th at the Davison Twilight Classic; generated a 23rd at the Hudsonville-based Division 4 state finals; and added a 30th at the Shake Off the Rust Invite in Davison.
