Peter helps Trine to a third place
DRYDEN — Former Dryden High School standout Sophia Peter placed three times for the Trine University women’s track team at the MIAA Outdoor Championships recently.
DRYDEN — Former Dryden High School standout Sophia Peter placed three times for the Trine University women’s track team at the MIAA Outdoor Championships recently.The meet was contested April 30-May 1 at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
Peter, a sophomore, joined forces with Aniyah Small, Ariana Todd and Emma Heintzelman to rank third among 400-meter relay entries. They registered a clocking of 48.93 seconds en route to a third.
Her next best showing came in the 100 dash. There she posted a time of 12.58 seconds, paving the way to a fifth.
In addition to that, Peter wound up sixth with a 200-meter clocking of 26.13 seconds.
Calvin University won the meet with 258 points. They were followed by Hope College (234 points), Trine University (151), Albion College (45), Adrian College (41) Alma College (36), Olivet (32) and Kalamazoo College (20).Related Articles
