Imlay City celebrates homecoming with parade, football victory

IMLAY CITY — Downtown Imlay City came alive Friday night as students, school groups, and community members gathered for the annual Imlay City High School homecoming parade.

The celebratory procession featured a wide range of school organizations, including the Imlay City equestrian team and the Spartans clay target team, whose members waved to crowds from a parade wagon. The school’s mascot, Sparty, also joined the festivities atop one of the student floats rolling through downtown.

The festive atmosphere carried into the evening as the Spartans capped off the homecoming celebrations with a victory on the football field.
