Little Italy Pizza coming to Capac

New restaurant is brand’s fourth location

CAPAC — Little Italy Pizza is continuing its rapid growth across Southeast Michigan with the acquisition of a Capac restaurant space in St. Clair County.

The addition marks the fourth Little Italy Pizza location under owner Sean Katchuba within the past two years.

Located at 534 N. Main St., the Capac restaurant will join Little Italy Pizza locations in Eastpointe, Roseville and Warren. Katchuba is targeting a Sept. 28 opening, with additional details regarding hours and services to be announced in the coming weeks.

“We’re excited to have them coming to town,” said Village Manager Travis Youatt. “They are a chain that has been successful in other locations and we are confident they will do well here. They are anxious to get going and have indicated they want to be involved in the community. It’s great for Capac and the business climate here. With the street project (a complete rebuild of a four-block section of Main Street in the downtown district) making good progress, there have been a lot of businesses asking about locating in town, so yeah, we’re excited.”

Originally founded in Detroit in 1959 and now based in Eastpointe, Little Italy Pizza is known for its handmade round and Detroit-style pizzas, pastas, subs, wings, desserts and other family-style Italian dishes. Katchuba purchased the Eastpointe restaurant in 2024 and has since led its expansion while maintaining the scratch-made recipes and community focus that have defined Little Italy for generations.

“Growing from one location to four in two years is something we’re incredibly grateful for, but we’ve been intentional about finding communities where Little Italy can become a true neighborhood staple,” said Katchuba. “Capac has that close-knit community feel, and we look forward to introducing ourselves, getting to know our neighbors and becoming a place local families can count on.”

The Capac location was formerly home to Johnny’s Pizzeria.

As part of the opening, Little Italy Pizza is hiring for approximately eight positions at the new restaurant, ranging from general manager and shift manager roles to cooks and counter staff. For the full menu and additional information, visit littleitalypizzami.com.
