Viola Joy (Vincent) Pisariuk, 95

Viola Joy (Vincent) Pisariuk - age 95, from Lapeer, MI, passed away peacefully the evening of July 12, 2026, with family by her side. Viola was born on December 27,1930 at her parent’s farmhouse on Slattery Road in Lum. She graduated from Imlay City High School in 1948. In her younger years she enjoyed skating at Collin’s Roller Rink in Imlay City, going to the movies and visiting with friends. She cared for her loved ones in need, cleaning their houses, doing hair, cooking, laundry, shopping, whatever they needed to make life easier. She also enjoyed working and making new friends at Hamill Seat Belt factory in Imlay City.

Viola, and her husband George were married for 70 years and raised three daughters in Imlay City before moving to Lapeer in later years. They had a winter home in Zephyrhills Florida, where she enjoyed laying out by the pool, and chatting with the neighbors, Together, they attended functions at the Zephyrhills Clubhouse, where everyone said they were the best dancers and were comical together, with George being 6’3” and her being 5’2”. 

Viola (AKA Vi, Odie), enjoyed decorating for the holidays and dressing up for Halloween. As a social butterfly, she was the life of any party. If there was music, she was dancing. In her final days, she brought humor and feistiness to those that were caring for her, leaving behind fun and bittersweet memories. Viola was very sentimental, and if you ever gave her a gift during her life, she probably still has it!

Viola is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Vincent, husband, George, brother Darold Vincent and grandson, Jason Schwerin. She leaves behind three daughters, Linda (Larry) May of Attica Mi, Karen Pisariuk of Zephryhills Fl, Annette (Al) Schwerin of Fountain Valley CA; four grandchildren, Chad (Diane) Ulrick, Leah May, Fallon (Jon) Grapentin, and Maria Schwerin; nine great-grandchildren, sister-n-law Pauline Vincent, Nephews; Troy (Dawn) Vincent & Todd Vincent. 

As per her request, she has been cremated and no immediate services are being planned. Viola loved colorful flowers. Please consider planting something in your own garden in her memory. Memorial donations may be made to Paradise Rescue, 2266 N. Lapeer Rd, Lapeer, MI 48446
