Barbara Lorraine Nagy, 81, a lifetime resident of Imlay City, MI, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at home with family by her side.

Barbara Lorraine Nagy, 81, a lifetime resident of Imlay City, MI, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at home with family by her side.  She was born Barbara Lorraine Mott on January 10, 1945, in Almont, Michigan, and was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillian (Kloc) Mott. Barbara married Jerry Nagy on September 26, 1964, in Imlay City. Jerry died on June 19, 2026, after 62 years of marriage.

Barbara was a 1963 Imlay City High School graduate and continued her education at Port Huron School of Practical Nursing where she graduated in 1964. Barbara enjoyed her career in nursing which spanned over 30 years. She had worked at Lapeer General Hospital, Knollwood Clinic, Suncrest Care Facility, and Lake Orion Nursing Center before her retirement in 1996.

Barbara enjoyed gardening, reading, relaxing next to a bonfire, and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by: her daughters, Kelly (Rob) Cramer and Kimberly (Mike) Keesler; son, Kurt (Stephanie) Nagy, all of Imlay City, Michigan; grandchildren, Michael Nagy, Matthew Nagy, Audrey Keesler, William Keesler, Sam Makedonsky, Zack Makedonsky, and Ashley Northrup; three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Betty Cummings, Margie Wangler, Ann Ragatz and Cathy Stoin, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Jerry Nagy; and four siblings, Elsie (RJ) Campbell, Ed Mott, Leonard Mott, and infant brother, Jerry Mott.
